How to Create Something that Matters

January 8, 2013 — 5 Comments

Artists all over the world want one thing: to create something that matters.

They want to change your heart, life, thinking, attitude, etc. They want to start a movement. So, how do you do that?

You create from the heart.

You forget the rules. You forget the laws of design that you were taught. You forget about making a profit.

If you want to make art that matters, it has to be created from your heart. You have to put everything you have into making it.

When everyone else stops working, that’s when you keep going. That’s when true art is crafted. The measure of your heart input is so much greater than the cost output that you receive. When you’ve given it your all, then you know that you’ve made something that truly matters.

You may not can see it now, but I promise it mattered to someone.

If you want to join me in this journey to create stuff that matters, make sure you get in on the e-mail list. You’ll get some free gifts along the way. There will be one in the near future about this very topic, so signup today!

I totally agree. If we want to help and add value to people through our craft or art then it needs to come from the heart. Great post!

It’s funny how people can tell when something comes from your heart or when your heart isn’t in it. Thanks for stopping by Dan.

Most people can spot it a mile away. Your welcome.

Great post. I learned several years ago that when you give from your heart people value you more. I can’t help but to be genuine.

So true Bernard. And if we’re all about creating value, it only makes sense to create from the heart.
